A talk on bird and wildlife at Combe by James Sadler and Nicola Chester: 22nd August 2013

Hi,
FYI - information from Nicola Chester about a talk at Newbury Library later this week.

"I wondered if you'd be interested in coming to (or could help promote!) a talk that James Sadler and I are doing next Thursday evening (6pm) at Newbury Library?

The Hills are Alive

A Talk by James Sadler, Gamekeeper and Conservationist with Nicola Chester, Nature Writer & Author (NWN, RSPB).
How Kirby Estate at Combe has evolved over 25 years, bringing the sound and vision of its wildlife back for all to enjoy.

Free event, tickets available from Newbury Library www.westberks/libraries

For those who don't know, James is the Gamekeeper of the Kirby Estate which encompasses Combe Gibbet, Walbury Hill and more - and he works very hard (with much rib-jabbing from me!) to conserve the estate for wildlife in the eye of the storm that is 'modern' farming. He works with wildlife as he raises pheasants for the shoot, which includes adapting his methods so that buzzards can nest in his release pens, for example!"
